The Skarv FPSO has commenced the voyage from South Korea to Norway. The last mooring line was released early this morning. This is exactly in line with the Project Master Schedule.
SHAREcat is being used to gather and validate technical information attached to the supply chain in the project and will connect operator and contractors together in a common project portal. Communication and interface efficiencies are achieved through a common view of data and documents using simple workflows which reflect industry processes.

The passage from Geoje in South Korea to Stavanger is 15424 nautical miles and the voyage is expected to last around 90 days. Tow speed will vary between 7-12 knots subject to weather conditions and current.
Aker Marine Contractors (AMC) holds the Skarv FPSO tow and offshore installation contract. AMC has subcontracted two ocean going tugs ( Fairmount Sherpa, Fairmount Summit) from the Dutch company Fairmount to perform the tow. There will be short stops during the tow for crew changes, bunkering, loading supplies and waste disposal.
A crew between 65 and 100 will be on board Skarv FPSO during the passage. They will perform on the job training, running of the vessel, surveillance and provide marine support to the tug crew.
